Cerakote Turbo?

Good morning everyone. I'm currently about to have a few items Cerakoted and I was wondering if anyone here has had their turbo Cerakoted and if so what did they need to do as far as prepping the turbo for that process. I'm about to install an S280 and figure if the prep isn't bad I may as well get that coated before installing it. Thank you in advance for your help and info.

You'll have to remove the housing(s) to send off for coating. You don't have to disassemble the core or anything. I think the exhaust housing on S280 is just a vband.
can confirm that the cerakote shop near me offers ceramic coating of the turbo housing only. @ronniec687 it's what a turbo blanket covers in case there are any questions (i asked myself that question anyway)

Awesome thanks guys for all of your help. I was able to also talk to Craig from B & C Powder Coating who Cerakoted an airtec tubular manifold for me at the end of last year and he pretty much said the same exact thing you guys did. I'll be getting that taken care of tonight and hopefully be dropping that off along with a whoosh spec exhaust, whoosh hiflow catalyst converter. While I'm there I'm going to get the delta wing riser I scored off a member on here painted gloss black. If your from CT and looking for stuff of that nature done here's a link. I suggest calling early when they first open. Highly recommended

I'm going to do something very similar to you (minus the delta wing riser) as i'm most likely not going to reinstall the OEM heat shield during my BT switch. any before/after pics you take would be great to post for us!

I'm looking into also wrapping the manifold and the catalyst converter along with the turbo lines with this stuff and then using metal zip ties to keep it all together.I definitely will post up some pics. Car currently looking like this. FORTLUFT Aluminum Heat Shield Barrier Ceramic Fiber Adhesive Backing 1/2"(12.7mm) x 12.00"(305mm) x 23.00''(584mm) https://a.co/d/fpv08tP
I'm not sure about the sleeve size as of yet I have to measure the line diameters when I get home.
Design Engineering 010405 Heat Shroud 1/2" - 1-1/4" I.D. x 3ft Aluminized Sleeving for Ultimate Heat Protection (with Hook and Loop Closure) https://a.co/d/dOH9vfX
The list of what I'm not changing is shorter then what I am changing at this point🤦🏻‍♂️

are you cerakoting the manifold too? in addition to the wrap?

my plan of attack:
- cerakote turbo housing, exhaust manifold, catted downpipe
- turbo blanket
- heat wrap manifold, downpipe

i have a ported manifold already so gonna wrap and attach everything up before install. considering high heat paint on the wrap too to keep it from looking gawd awful after a season

Yes I already had the manifold Cerakoted. Definitely sounds like we're going the same route on this one but I'm not painting the wrap I'm going to leave it alone. I didn't think about having it port matched though. Guess I'm bringing those parts to work on Monday before I bring them to get their cerakote. Perks of working in a machine shop😊
