Damaged Engine Purchase

Thinking of purchasing a FiST that has a “blown head gasket” and the condition of the engine is currently unknown. My build wish would be a car with around 300-350hp. If I’m going to purchase and rebuild this thing I want to build something solid. Best case I’ll just have to rebuild the current one but “worst case”, where do you guys recommend purchasing an engine from?

If it is a 2015 and earlier engine there is a possibility of a cracked head and or block. 16 and newer they redesigned it so that a certain spot get better cooling. A "blown head gasket" would have similar symptoms.
