What's the HAM use-case here? Just hobbyist, or with a specific purpose (if you don't mind my asking)?

For people knocking it - it's a hobby just like looking at boobs on instagram, different strokes for different folks. (and lots of strokes for those boobie lookers)
You know, it is rather intriguing that you seem to 1) call watching porn a hobby and 2) equate watching porn and ham radio. I'd think that 1) is more of a, ahem, maintenance activity and, 2) not knowing much about the latter, I'd imagine you need two hands? I mean, I can go on with this line, but I have already attempted to hijack this thread. Just can't help myself... :ROFLMAO:

Some people just like their ham radios. No reason you couldn't put one in a FiST.
There might even be a FiST at the event I am currently at working (New England Forest Rally), with a mobile base HAM in it working comm detail.
I just bought an affordable hand held HAM (Yaesu FT65R) so that I can monitor what is going on while out on the VERY remote stages way up here.
