Headgasket / timing chain cover oil leak - a fix!

For those interested who are aware of the oil leak the RS suffers on the headgasket in proximity to the timing chain cover (I have attached a pic of a typical leak). My engine builder has sorted a fix where he drills out one of the oil passages through the headgasket slightly wider than the passage on the block and head. He then fits a seal on the gasket and clamps (again, pic attached).

Pics show the unmodified gasket, the widened passage, the modified gasket on the block and a typical gasket with the leak from another RS.

Just had my 1000km check up after first start up and the issue - which he had seen on five other RS’s - is fixed.
