Whats up people...I continue to neglect my Fiesta while I enjoy tinkering on this Prelude. Nobody cares, but I thought I'd update this thread!!!
In the last week or so I've done a few things:
- first tank of gas revealed 25mpg mixed city/hwy driving...thirsty guy
- installed a new Denso alternator last night (old one worked but was whining)
- installed some brand new OEM mudflaps
- installed some epic DOHC VTEC stickers on the side...these don't come on Preludes from the factory but some Civic Si's and Acura's have them so I thought why now...it looks really good!!!
- found a wrecked Prelude just like mine at the Pull-A-Part the other day...nothing much except it had a like new K&N filter for $2....I grabbed that thing and installed it quick!!!
Next up, as pictured below, hopefully this week I'll install my short shifter. Maybe...there is nothing for this car but after poking I found a possible Frankenstein shorty so we will see if my theory is correct....stay tuned!!!
Really enjoying this car. It is slow as heck but has this older gentleman nature to it, very balanced car, very fun to tool around in. Best of all it's so analog (way more than the Fiesta) and that old school experience is like nothing else.
So far I'm $2900 purchase price + about $600 parts/services = $3500 spent.
