Even more impressive then. I only was "questioning/skeptical" when the guy in the video was saying stock block. People like to play "technicalities" and stretch truths such as stock block.... but forged bottom end, or unopened, but headstuds/bolts replaced. I'm am extremely impressed with the motor then. Shit the 4g63's usually loose head gaskets pretty regularly when pushing 500+whp with stock head studs. Color me impressed. If its truly unopened, one would have to believe valve springs, cams, and a thoughtful port job should have them making another giant leap in power. Then it will be the game of getting support for better transmission internals. Quick search doesn't show any of the gear specialists I'm familiar with making gears for this platform yet. Might be time to become friends with PPG.

For $3600, it should at least also come with a hardened/upgraded input shaft (I think that's what typically gets snapped).
$4600 unless you send in your "viable" core
I agree about price on this
It's a lot of $ for inspection and just upgrading the bearings
You could have 3 spare transmissions and a LSD on hand for the cost of the rebuild

It comes with an lsd but yeah this price is rediculous.

$2500 if you supply the lsd and tranny FYI. I inquired awhile back out of curiosity.

I'm not exactly sure what he means by uprated bearings. The bearings are the size that fit in the case. There is o changing that part without machine work and I see no reason to change those. They aren't the weak point. The completely unsupported input shaft is going to be the big power failure point. There is no pilot bearing to stop any bending load from snapping the shaft. The main shaft and the countershaft are pretty beefy to begin with, but there really aren't any options for "bigger" parts right now.

Nobody said anything about 600whp. He said 600hp which is ~530whp which is about right with the nitrous as I stated in my original post.

What doesn't make sense? The calculation for air resistance is a parabolic equation with respect to velocity. The faster you go, the harder it becomes to overcome the air resistance and therefore the power you need to overcome this resistance becomes parabolic, not linear. Now add in the fact that he had a 20mph headwind and it explains everything.
i can’t attest to this because after going with a hybrid and aux fuel past 100mph the car feels like a fucking brick and you can tell it’s working a lot harder
