oil change failure...

does anyone have the part number or name for this piece? when doing my first oil change... the filter clamp slipped off and punctured a hole on the little aluminum elbow... how hard is it to replace? and whats the cost on it? help please!! the whole box thing.. don't mind the green circle.. but its the elbow next to it.. thanks
anyone in the san fernando valley willing to help replace it?

The box is the oil cooler assembly, I'm not positive if the coolant elbow is part of the assembly though.

yep, that's the factory oil cooler. it's not hard, just messy because removing the 2 rubber hose will let coolant out so plan on adding coolant. you'll need a 12mm allen key to remove the threaded oil filter mount. you can try sourcing a new factory oil cooler from a dealer or post a wanted ad, as some have removed theirs to install an air/air oil cooler that does away with the factory oil cooler.

If you have to get it running right away, weather is fairly cool, you can remove both hoses and connect them together until you get the replacement part or since you live in SoCal just do an oil cooler upgrade now instead of later.

Great info already posted as well so you have all you really need to sort this out:)

JB weld is amazing but I have had it fail though did everything by the book...high heat, pressure, vibration.

This is what I would do is using it.

Clean it really well.

Sand in to or more directions to create some grip surface.

BB, bearing, etc or flat metal over the hole, put some JB weld on both parts.

Spread JB weld over it and all around the tube.

Wrap a layer or two of fiberglass tape around the tube and over the patch.

Coat with JB weld worked in really well.

Let cure, start it up, warm it up, see what happens, OK, short drive, OK, longer drive, etc.....
