Tire Rack TPMS Help !!

I just got some new wheels/tires from tire rack with there TPMS sensors installed as a package. The problem is I can't get them to program. I've tried what the manual says in learning mode letting out pressure slowly and fast a dozen times and it fails every time. Then I tried the technique used on here pressing the start button etc using a universal tire programmer and no joy. Again I tried going fast and slow nothing so do I need the official ford programmer or what am I doing wrong. My car is a 2016. Any advise would be greatly appreciated

more than likely you need the ford specific reset tool

it should, ive been using it for over a year now and have swapped wheels/tires many times. works like a charm.

That reset procedure you tried is just to learn starting pressures on existing TPMS. You'll be good to go when the triggering tool arrives.
