I went with the charcoal color for my 15x8 6ul with 205 neogens for my silver car but those look even better yet and really good on a white car:)

Slightly off topic, but we ARE mentioning the Neo Gens, so, given the same size, for use as street tire for their performance ONLY (price notwithstanding), how do these stack up against the Yoko S Drives (the tread wear rating differences are negligible)??

They look so little. I hope the look grows on me. I just can't seem to get into the 15" look. Hopefully the improvement in performance will win me over.

Same here, as it almost looks like those original, old Minis with the wide 12" diameter Minilites on them, or the Nippon retro-look movement/Bob Sharp Racing 510s, etc.

This is WHY I am still asking about the 17x7.5 TD Pros (and others) with a 215/40 (at least for street use), weight/performance and ridicule be DAMNED!

I think it fits this car just fine but then again, I've owned a lot of smaller Japanese hatchbacks.

It all boils down to personal preference, I know a lot of guys like the little wheel chunky tire look. It looks good on old civics where the wheel well is small and they came with 14" from the factory or even 13" in some cases. It's still a +1 or +2 in some cases where as on the FiST, it's a -2. I have 15" on a 2007 fit I'm selling. It looks ok on that because wheel wells are smaller than FiST plus it came with 15" & 16" from he factory, so only a -1.

I'm running 215/40/17 Khumo Ecsta LE on 17x7.5 et 40 XXR 527 with no issues and looks good figment wise. Whether you like the wheel style is totally up to you, but figment is perfect plus around 3lbs lighter per wheel and only $550 delivered. Not a bad deal.

Yes, I was thinking about a TD Pro 1.2, 17x7.5, with a Direzza Z11 Star Spec 215/40-17 (over an RT615K of the same size) on them.
I KNOW that those tires tend to run a little wider than most others in the same size, but it should still be OK, I HOPE??

The base Fiestas come with 15" wheels so I don't think it's that big of an issue. But it's all personal preference.

Except that Ford advises against running a 15" wheel on the ST as it shrouds the (larger than base Fiesta) brakes too much. Track rats might need to add some ducting.

Too bad they do not make the SSII in 205/40/17 as it would be a really good fit on 7.5 wheels, if they made them to the same general size profiles like the other SSII that is.

The 215/40/17 is pretty wide with an 8" tread, 8.6 section width, I would prefer it on an 8 minimally and an 8.5 or 9 better.

The 205/45/17 is a better fit on a 7.5, 2lbs lower weight, 7.6 tread width, better feedback and control but getting fairly tall though for autocrosses it could be the tire that keeps you in second gear so less shifting which is always better in such events.
