I also created this thread because while I was away this weekend visiting family my husband went out and bought this:

Yup exactly why I sold mine, maintenance was just getting too much. I still miss it very much though.

Our Audi A6 has been replaced with a C43.

My husband loves it, although he’s waiting for his second replacement wheel to come in. Damn PA roads.
Lucky for him he bought the wheel and tire hazard insurance when he got it... those wheels aren’t cheap.

Now, those are not the ONLY cars you've previously owned, are they? Just the recently garaged vehicles?

I once had a 1965 Alfa Rome Giulia Sprint GT, a 1976 Datsun 280Z, a 1985 Toyota MR2, a 2000 BMW 528i, a supercharged 2004 SVT Focus, and a 2004 Audi S4 Avant. I loved all those cars, but they are all (some long) gone (as is another pile of less-interesting grocery getters and kid haulers). The RS is certainly among my personal all-time favorites. I wish that I could have kept all those cars, but they were just part of a process that leaves us with the following four vehicles in our garage (and under our car port):

* 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (purchased new; i suspect we'll keep this until the wheels fall off as our snow/ice day car)
* 2000 Toyota Avalon (we inherited this frost green abomination from my mom in 2011 and my daughter learned to drive with and used it off and on through her college years; my wife has since claimed it and has stated her intent to also drive that one until the wheels fall off, which might be a LONG time)
* 2014 Ford Fiesta ST (Frankenfiesta replaced my Ford Focus SVT that I sold to a local Audi guy who got the car for his son, as wel as for track days and autoX...it has a 4-point cage, Recaro racing seats, Powerworks supercharger, etc., but I prefer my Fiesta; it's a hoot with the mountune 2554 replacement turbo)
* 2016 Ford Focus RS (this replaced my 2004 Audi S4 Avant; it is my "daily" driver, although it's only seen 1300 miles since its purchase at the end of June)

I believe our next car will (eventually) be a 2018ish Chevy Bolt (or possibly a 2018ish Nissan Leaf) as my wife's daily driver to replace the rolling mint-green ugly doll.

I think the worst thing I've owned (briefly) was a 1986 Mercury Topaz that, while driving to work one day, let go it's entire exhaust system on the road
