Wanted to start a thread for us pet-lovers on here.

I have 2 retired greyhounds and 3 cats. The cats are evil but I love them.

Unfortunately our one grey had to be rushed to the vet this morning... they think she had/is having an episode of Vestibular Disease. Poor thing was freaked out this morning, couldn't stand and was sick as a... well, a dog.
All tests thus far point to this condition being the culprit and she should make a full recovery. She will be at the vet for the night for observations and fluids.

Here is Sophie and Raider:

Here is Nalla (Sophie's sister):

And here are the Hounds Sidney and June. June is the sick one currently... she is the fawn colored one:

In case anyone was wondering.... June is back with us and doing better. They still think it was an episode of the Vestibular disease. She's still wobbly, but acting normal otherwise. Hopefully she will be 100% better within a week.

Glad to hear she is doing fine. Are hounds good indoor pets and how are they with kids?

Greys make great pets... even if you have a small apartment. They don't need a lot of room. They lay around for most of the day. They normally do well with kids, but I don't think (personally) that they are suited for a home with little children. Some tend to be a little skiddish. But overall, they are very friendly and gentle.

My Bloodhound mix Ruby, sweetest dog ever. Loves everyone and every dog she meets. She's runs about 75 lbs.

That's snow on her face, can't keep her nose off the ground even in the winter.

Her, it's snow. She's hilarious in the winter because being a Bloodhound she walks with her nose down and ends up plowing a trail with her nose.
My 2 greyhounds do the same. Amazing how "hound-ish" they really are.

So cute!

Sadly my one greyhound had a couple seizures last week... these were the first in 6 months.
She is recovering and on new meds so we are going we can keep her around a little longer.

Love to you and your dog. It’s tough to see a loved one suffer. Very tough.
