Image Embed Broken?

I've just noticed any time I attempt to embed an image, it doesn't work. Something seems to have changed, as clicking the "Insert Image" dialog used to bring up a dialog with 2 tabs, one to upload an image to the forums using a file uploader, and one to embed an image via external link (and then had a checkbox to "reference locally") which is no longer the case.

When I embed an image, it simply inserts a link, not actually embed the image. As such:

When writing your post use the "Go Advanced" button in the lower right.
You should be able to see your post correctly before you submit it.

That's not the issue. It's impossible to embed an image into a post without using the built in site uploader (which sucks), as of a few days ago.

Try to embed an image from an external source.

Edit: Okay, WTF, I went through the user settings assuming maybe the defaults had changed and "View Images" was disabled. I wonder if it was a sitewide change or if just mine somehow got changed? I haven't touched my settings since I joined the site and everything worked fine till about a week ago.

I must be missing something.
The photos you are uploading, the Tial and the busted headlight are just fine.
I always host my own photos and have no problems.

I will check further but I need to leave for work now.

You're correct, it's working fine now.

The issue was "Show Images" somehow got disabled.

Im having trouble trying to upload my images as well. I am using photobuxket and have tried pasting direct/html/img links with no success. My show images box is checked in my settings. Any suggestions?

Can you post the link to the picture you are trying to embed?

Yes i can. I wasnt sure if this was sufficient enough for the forum. It just shows a tiny icon and then directs u to photobucket
