Update!

Just got a call from the dealership....

All appointments are canceled/on hold. Parts aren't available and they don't want cars torn apart sitting around.

Yup.

I’ve been hearing rumblings of people with their cars in and parts not coming in.

I think this gold up is the fuel line parts but don’t quote me.

I’m not upset... there’s a small chance they will become available in time for my appointment. But if not I can wait a while longer until they do.

I was getting a loaner as well.

The manager said the first appt was sitting in the shop torn apart with a lack of parts.
I'd rather wait till they can get everything in vs having my car there sitting in pieces.

Dropped off my RS yesterday, there was another Nitro Blue RS that was there for the same repairs. The advisor told me there won't be any extended warranty regarding this repair. Hopefully this fixes the issue and we won't run into any surprises after the warranty expires.

hotfocus any news on your RS since you dropped it off?

I still have to call this Friday and see if they are keeping my appt Monday or not. I'm hearing stories from all ends about people getting theirs fixed right away vs their car being stuck at the dealer for weeks.

They did a pressure test on mine and sent the data to Ford, waiting on their decision to see if it needs a new gasket.

My understanding is we ALL get a new gasket.
The pressure test is to see if you get a new cylinder head as well.

Just got word back, they are only replacing the head gasket on mine. GhostRS let me know what they say with yours.

Are they keeping it until parts come in or giving it back till they arrive?

I'll keep you all posted... right now my next step is call Friday and see if they are keeping my appt Monday or delaying it "until further notice".

They have the part in stock and will arrive at the dealer tomorrow. They are keeping the car and performing the install which she said will take a few days.

Sigh. I was told that the parts are not coming in till mid March. I'm going to get me car at some point in the next few days. Passed the pressure test. Won't they have to do another one to be sure when they cars back?

I wonder if it's a parts supply issue in some areas.

I'll probably wait it out another month or two before I bring mine in.
