New to the forums, but have bought from whoosh in the past. Has Coolerworks said anything about offering knobs in other materials? Aluminum gets awful cold in the winter.

I got this installed on Friday and let me tell you... It feels amazing. I prefer mechanical over cable systems, but this is hands down of close of a feel as you're gonna get.
Thanks! I'm not 100% sure how the knob is attached. It looks like there's a bolt running through from the top that actually fastens it down, but I have also seen on vendor sites that it threads on like a normal knob. Just looking for clarification.

thankfully there are many that want the spring assist and optimal position of this shifter that track their cars. I'm amazed how popular this option has been with track rats. Not for everyone which is ok

It is definitely a cool looking item, and I am sure the 'action' of the shifter is GREAT as far as throw and feel goes (as well as bringing the lever closer to the wheel for less time between shifts when 'banging' dem gears while exiting apexes)!
I would even consider this eventually, but there is NO WAY IN HELL I am going through un-installing the Mountune short shift plate in order for this to function properly.
Ditto. I'm sure it isn't that big of a deal to reinstall the OEM pin, but I'm not risking that thing coming back out on the track. I keep telling myself this is more of an aesthetic and "convenience" mod to keep from saying f-it and trying it anyway haha. I loved the CAE shifter and I bet this is similar. Someone needs to post a throw video. On second thought, DON'T!

Are you leaving the Whoosh short shift on? How does it drive with both that and the coolerworx? I thought it was recommended to remove any trans side short shift?

Anyone with a mountune quick shift, that ordered this, get the ball pin back in the shifter arm yet? I can't find a place willing to sell me the arm separately from the trans. I'm thinking my best bet is pulling the arm and put the ball pin in the freezer overnight. Any better ideas or suggestions?
